Description:

We’re looking for talented, passionate hackers who want to solve interesting problems in social media primarily on Facebook and Twitter.

The UI Engineer will participate in UI initiatives through collaboration with team members throughout the organization; including Product Management, Development, and Marketing to understand requirements, in order to build the presentation layer of our core platform, enhancing the usability and functionality for our clients. Our front-end technology stack includes JQuery and Flex 3 & 4, but we’re looking for sharp individuals who are able to adapt the right technologies to solve business problems. Additional components of our layered stack include Ruby on Rails, MySQL, and MongoDB.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality, standards-compliant code – 85% Coding
  • Work with the Product and Marketing Teams as well as other non-development groups to engage consumers using social media

Requirements:

  • Solid software development skills
  • Three or more years developing in a framework such as jQuery, Dojo, or Prototype
  • JavaScript and the typical web-related alphabet soup (HTML, AJAX, JSON, XML, CSS, etc.), HTML5 exposure is a plus
  • Experience with Mac OS X or another *NIX. We don’t do Windows.
  • Write standards-compliant HTML and CSS
  • Strive for beautiful code
  • Bonus points if you’re good at playing old arcade games and ping pong!

Desirables:
Social Media experience is a plus
Experience in a start-up environment is preferred
