Summary: 

Vitrue is looking for a talented user interface engineer who wants to solve interesting problems in social media. The UI Engineer will participate in UI initiatives through collaboration with team members throughout the organization; including Product Management, Project Management, Development, and Marketing to understand requirements, in order to build the presentation layer of applications in our core platform, enhancing the usability and functionality for our clients. Creative thinking is a critical skill for this role. Solid HTML, CSS, Javascript, and jQuery knowledge, as well as familiarity with Mac OSX, are the other important skill sets for this position.

Responsibilities: 

Produce high-quality, standards-compliant code – 85% Coding. Work with project managers within the Client Delivery team, as well as with people from the Client Services, Sales, Marketing, and the Product teams.

Requirements: 

  • Solid user interface development skills and cross browser trouble shooting skills.
  • Experience with Mac OS X.
  • Write standards-compliant HTML, CSS, Javascript and jQuery.
  • Strive to go above and beyond.
  • Not afraid to break something in order to find a better solution.
  • Eager to enjoy your work and your co-workers.

Desirables: 

  • Social Media experience is a plus.
  • PHP experience.
  • Experience in a start up environment is preferred.
